Le Sallay International Academy had the distinct honor of participating in A Symposium on Gifted Education, a joint endeavor between Harvard Alumni for Education (HAEd) and the Massachusetts Association for Gifted Education (MAGE).
Being involved as both a MAGE sponsor and as a school for gifted children, we were able to speak with leading experts in the field and learn more about best practices in education for gifted students. We also looked over specific cases of children's backgrounds and their education paths. Aleka Molokova, Le Sallay's Head of Academics, had the pleasure of collaborating with the co-presidents of MAGE, Michelle Barmazel and Karen Blumstein.
Participating in an event like this is very important to us as it is a result of our continued work with MAGE in order to find new ways to accommodate our students in the best way possible. It allows us to share our experience and expertise and learn from our fellow educators to utilize leading practices in teaching gifted children. There's always more to learn, and we are committed to improving and adapting our practices to make learning in our school as effective as possible.
